Wat doe je als Production Manager

  • Coordinates more complex production operations within a single department that uses common production equipment, methods, and standards over multiple shifts.
  • Directs unit supervisors in establishing and maintaining production schedules within established procedures and budgets.
  • Monitors established performance indicators, including variance reports, production reports, quality reports, and injury reports.
  • Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations to minimize industrial injuries and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Guides unit supervisors on compliance with organization policies, and adherence to quality control standards.
  • Coordinates activities of five to eight unit supervisors representing a number of separate manufacturing departments or areas with up to 200 employees. (Capital intensive operations may have less staff members.)

Gewenste profiel

  • You are the ultimate responsible party for the smooth execution of all production activities and processes, ensuring that operational objectives are met.
  • You translate customer requests into an optimal production plan, aligning with priorities and agreed-upon deadlines. This involves continuous coordination with the supply chain & logistics and quality departments.
  • You oversee the day-to-day organization of production activities within the bulk production, filling, and packaging departments to achieve planned volumes, in line with set deadlines and quality standards. Working with planning & production officers, you determine priorities and necessary resources to meet these goals.
  • You lead and coach the team of supervisors (working in three shifts) in their leadership responsibilities, supporting their personal development through training and education.
  • You analyze and determine production flows for optimal capacity planning, focusing on line efficiency and process optimization. Together with the site management team, you aim for continuous improvement and optimization of all production and logistics processes.
  • You contribute to strategic thinking at a long-term level, with a focus on future site growth and innovation. Together with the Engineering Manager, you determine future developments in technology and advanced automation.
  • You are responsible for the budget and cost management of the bulk production, filling & packaging, and production support departments.
  • Alongside the EHS Manager, you are responsible for creating a quality-conscious work environment and ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and ecological procedures.
  • You ensure consistent application of GMP rules and SOPs and monitor CAPAs diligently. Based on periodic data analysis, you formulate initiatives to continuously optimize quality.
  • You report to the Site Director and play an active role within the site management team.
